What the Shopify app stores
Your store domain and identifier, Shopify authentication sessions (which can include staff names and email addresses), the names of your paired packing stations, and for each recording: the Shopify order number and ID, the text that was scanned, the link to the video in your own storage, the time recorded, the video length and size, and which station recorded it. We read order numbers, confirmation numbers and tracking numbers from Shopify only to find the right order. We do not store customer names, addresses, emails, phone numbers or payment details.
Where the videos are
Videos are recorded on your packing computer and uploaded directly to the Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive or other storage you connect in the desktop program. They do not pass through or get stored on our servers, and we cannot open them. Packing videos may show a shipping label with a customer's name and address. Because the storage is yours, you decide who can access it, how long it is kept, and when it is deleted. Our program asks your storage provider for access to a folder it creates, not to your other files. Disconnecting the provider in the program removes its stored sign-in from the computer.
Station tokens and credentials
The desktop program holds a revocable station token and your storage sign-in, encrypted with your operating system's credential store. On our servers we keep only a one-way hash of each station token.
How information is used
To link recordings to orders, show them to you in Shopify, enforce plan limits, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Retention and deletion
Uninstalling the app disconnects all stations immediately and deletes authentication sessions. Within days of uninstalling, Shopify's shop-redaction request deletes all remaining records for your store. Backups rotate out within 30 days. Links already saved to Shopify orders stay in your Shopify data until you delete them. Videos stay in your own storage until you delete them.
Your choices
You can disconnect a station at any time in the app, and contact support for export or deletion requests. Applicable privacy rights depend on where you live.
Recording people
Recording staff or others may be regulated where you operate. You are responsible for notices, consent and retention rules. SellerProof does not provide legal advice and does not guarantee the outcome of any dispute.
